Demos & Outtakes 98–02 is the second compilation album by the American stoner rock band Nebula. It was released on January 25, 2019, by Heavy Psych Sounds Records.[1]

Background and recording

Demos & Outtakes 98–02 consists of material recorded by the band during the years of their original lineup; being unreleased tracks, demo versions, B-sides, covers and a live recording.[7][8]

The lead single "Whalefinger" is the first song guitarist Eddie Glass has ever wrote. It originally appeared as a B-side on a split 7" by Glass's former band Olivelawn.[8] Bassist Mark Abshire spoke about the second single "You Got It" upon its release and revealed the song's history:

"You Got It" is another very early song written by Eddie Glass. This version of the song was recorded just before the recording of Atomic Ritual. "You Got It" is quite a different brand of garage psych from what Nebula usually play and as a result, this song never made its way into live sets."[5]
