Desmond Makaza is a Zimbabwean politician who served as the Member of the National Assembly of Zimbabwe for Mpopoma-Mzilikazi from September to October 2023, as a member of the Citizens Coalition for Change.
In October 2023, Makaza and fourteen other CCC Members of Parliament were recalled from parliament following a letter by self-proclaimed CCC Secretary-General Sengezo Tshabangu, in which he stated that they had been expelled from the party which was disputed by CCC party president Nelson Chamisa.[1] Makaza subsequently filed nomination papers to contest the by-election in his constituency on 9 December, but was disqualified from contesting by the Harare High Court.[2]
