Dichromodes sphaeriata is a moth of the family Geometridae.[2] It is endemic to New Zealand.
Taxonomy
This species was first described by Rudolf Felder, Cajetan von Felder and Alois Friedrich Rogenhofer in 1875 using a specimen collected in Nelson by T. R. Oxley and named Cidaria sphaeriata.[3][1] In 1892 Edward Meyrick, thinking he was describing a new species, named it Dichromodes petrina. Prout synonymised this name in The male holotype is held at the Natural History Museum, London.[1]
Distribution
This species is endemic to New Zealand.[4]
