Ek: The Power of One is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film starring Bobby Deol, Nana Patekar and Shriya Saran. It is a remake of the Telugu-language film Athadu (2005).[3][4][5][6]
Plot
Nandkumar Sharma ''Nandhu'', an orphan turned assassin, gets wrongly accused of murdering a politician and goes on the run. During his escape on a train, he meets Puran, who is on his way home after staying away from home for eighteen years, and the two begin to talk. Nandhu learns about Puran's family and the wedding of Puran's sister of which he is supposed to attend.
However, the police catch Nandhu on the train and shoot him, however Puran is accidentally killed and dies. Nandhu goes to Puran's family home in his village to return his grandfather's watch and break the news of his grandson's death. However, Puran's family mistake Nandhu for Puran and make him part of Puran's sisters wedding celebrations. Nandhu believes that it is his responsibility to fulfill the deeds that Puran had to fulfill.
Preet, who is the daughter of Puran's grandfather's friend, feels sympathetic for Nandhu and falls in love with him. CBI Inspector Nandkumar Rane, is assigned to the case and plans to track down Nandhu.
Nandhu realizes that his friend Shekhar had framed Nandhu and had killed the politician. Nandhu proves his innocence to Rane and is proved innocent. In the end, Nandhu decides to live with Puran's family.
