MILAN  France Anti-tank guided missile 115mm 137 launchers with 755 missiles (55 Milan + 700 Milan-2-T). In 2020 44 Milan-2-T missiles were received.[14][15] Ministry of National Defence announced in 2022 a budget of 9,898,373 euros to replace MILAN by a new anti-tank guided missile system, being MMP one of the considered systems by the Army.[16]
BGM-71 TOW  United States Anti-tank guided missile 152mm 50 launchers (5 on Pandur II ATGM). 1116 missiles received since 1980.[17]

M48A2E1/A3 Chaparral  United States 34 34 self-propelled surface-to-air missile systems received (23 in the A3 version and 11 in the A2 version) with 224 missiles.[19][17] The Portuguese army launched an acquisition contract for the purchase of new anti-aircraft defense systems which include eight weapon terminals for the Integrated Anti-Aircraft Artillery Command and Control System, two local warning radars, eight light missile systems integrated into vehicles light armored tactics or medium armored tactical vehicles, and eight light armored or medium armored tactical vehicles.[20] New VSHORAD systems will be received from 2024 to 2026.[21][22]
FIM-92 Stinger  United States 40 40 units operated by Anti-aircraft Artillery Regiment No. 1, Portuguese Paratroopers and Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battery since 1994. In 2021 Portuguese Army acquired new missiles and sights.[23][17]
Rheinmetall Rh-202  Germany 36 36 in service since 1981.[24][19] Some could be used for coastal defence in Azores and Madeira islands.[25]

M101A1  United States 21 The Portuguese Army currently has 21 M101A1 in reserve in a state of readiness. 52 units were received.[19]
M114A1  United States 40 40 units received in 1983. 24 operated by Intervention Brigade Field Artillery Battalion.[19]

M109A5  United States 18 18 M109A5 operated by Mechanized Brigade. Being overhauled since 2022 by the UAGME.[19]
M109A2  United States 6 The Portuguese Army currently has 6 M109A2 stored at the military base of Santa Margarida. These M109A2 are part of the war reserves of the Portuguese Army and can be prepared to enter the active service.[19]
