Forsman & Bodenfors is a global creative collective. Since its founding in Sweden in 1986, it has consistently been in the top tier of international agency rankings. Forsman & Bodenfors has won over 100 Lions and six Grand Prix at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.[1]

Recognition

It has been recognized by The Gunn Report as the best advertising agency in the world and named among the top three Independent Agencies of the Decade at Cannes.[2] [3] Fast Company nominated the agency on their list of Most Innovative Companies and Contagious has praised Forsman & Bodenfors as one of the best and bravest agencies in the world.[4] It is also the first agency to achieve global gender pay equity certification by Fair Pay Workplace for an ongoing commitment to equal pay for equal work.[5]

Acquisition

In June 2016, the company was acquired by MDC Partners The deal involved an initial payment of $32.3 million in MDC shares. This was the first acquisition by MDC's new CEO, Scott Kauffman.[6] When asked to comment on the deal, F&B's CEO, Erik Sollenberg “We needed a partner to expand our business,” and that “[t]he ad world is becoming more and more global.”[6]

In September 2018, MDC Partners-owned agencies Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners (KBS) and Forsman & Bodenfors are merging to form a new global creative offering under the latter's name, effectively putting an end to the KBS acronym.[7]

Clients

Forsman and Bodenfors is part of the marketing and communications group Stagwell Inc. Clients include Volvo Cars, Diageo, General Mills, Netflix, Goldman Sachs, Church & Dwight and Procter & Gamble.[8]
