Frome and East Somerset is a proposed constituency of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament.[1] Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, it will first be contested at the next general election.
Contents
The constituency will comprise the following areas:
- The town of Frome and surrounding rural areas in the (former) District of Mendip broadly matching the parts of the district currently in the constituency of Somerton and Frome (to be renamed Glastonbury and Somerton)
- South-eastern areas of the District of Bath and North East Somerset, including the communities of Midsomer Norton, Radstock and Peasedown St John, transferred from the constituency of North East Somerset (to be renamed North East Somerset and Hanham)
