Gavin Araujo is an Indian professional football manager who is currently working with FC Goa as the U-18/20 Head Coach.[1] He has over fourteen years of experience in the field of coaching, and currently holds the AFC Pro Diploma,[2] which is the highest level of coaching accreditation issued by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Coaching career

After working in an administrative role in Goa Football Association for nine years, Gavin decided in 2009 to take a step towards his passion: coaching. He completed the AIFF C-License course in June 2009 and joined Vasco Sports Club as the head coach.

Vasco Sports Club

Gavin worked as the head coach of Vasco Sports Club for two seasons, from 2009 to 2011. The team did really well in the Goa Professional League and the 2nd Division I-League, missing out on promotion to the I-League just by a single point in both the seasons.

Dempo Sports Club

After a successful tenure at Vasco Sports Club, Gavin joined Dempo Sports Club as the youth team coach.

FC Goa

Gavin joined FC Goa as the grassroots head, and helped establish the grassroots structure at the club. Since then, he has worked in various roles, the most recent one being the Head Coach of the U-17/19 team.
