Germie Bernard is an American football wide receiver for the Washington Huskies. He previously played for the Michigan State Spartans.

Early life and high school

Bernard attended high school at Liberty. Bernard has a breakout sophomore season, tallying 948 yards and 14 touchdowns.[1] Coming out of high school, Bernard initially committed to play college football for the Washington Huskies.[2][3] However, he decided to de-commit from the Huskies and sign with the Michigan State Spartans.[4][5][6]

College career

Michigan State

In week six of the 2022 season, Bernard hauled in three receptions for 28 yards against Ohio State.[7] Bernard finished his first collegiate season making seven catches for 128 yards and two touchdowns.[8] After the conclusion of the 2022 season, Bernard entered the NCAA transfer portal.[9][10]

Washington

Bernard decided to transfer to play with the Washington Huskies.[11][12] In week two of the 2023 season, Bernard recorded his first touchdown as a Husky, as he helped Washington to a win beating Tulsa.[13] In week five, Bernard led the Huskies in receiving bringing in eight receptions for 98 yards, while also adding a touchdown on the ground, as he helped Washington beat Arizona.[14]
