The Gujarat State Human Rights Commission is an autonomous state body with quasi-judicial powers tasked to investigate any violation of human rights in the western state of Gujarat in India.[1] The body was constituted on 12 September , 2006 with Hon’ble Mr. Justice D.S. Sinha(Former Chief Justice of the High Court of Gujarat) as its first chairperson and the State Commission has started its functioning from the day of assuming the charge of the post by The Hon'ble Chairperson.
