Hamdy Fathy Abdelhalim Abdelfattah (Arabic: حمدي فتحي عبد الحليم عبد الفتاح; born 29 September 1994) is an Egyptian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Qatar Stars League club Al-Wakrah and the Egypt national team.[3] He is considered to be a deep-lying playmaker capable of directing gameplay through short and calm passes, exceptional positioning, and his singular reading of the game in the middle of the park.
International career
On 14 October 2019, Fathy made his international debut and scored the only goal in a 1–0 win against Botswana.[4] Hamdy featured in the 2021 AFCON final match against Senegal.[5]
