Hasan Shah Miri (Kashmiri: حسن شاہ میری) also known by his given name Hasan Khān (حسن خان) or simply by his regnal name Hasan Shah was the thirteenth Sultan of Kashmir.[2]
Life
Ascension to throne
During the last days of his brother, Sultan Haider, Hasan Khan contested for the throne against his elder brother Bahram Khan. Ahmed Aitu, the Prime Minister of the Sultan, after the death of Haider appointed Hasan Khan as the Sultan who formally adopted the title of Hasan Shah.[3]
Reign
Hasan Khan succeeded his brother Haider Shah. Hasan ruled from 13 April 1472 to 19 April 1484 and was succeeded by his son, Muhammad Khan.[4]
