Henry Mews (born 9 March 2006) is a Canadian ice hockey defenceman for the Ottawa 67's of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).[1] Mews is projected as a high first round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.[2]
Career
Playing for the Toronto Jr. Canadians, Mews scored 14 goals with 64 assists in the 2021–22 season.[3] Mews also scored 1 goal with 4 assists in the 2022 OHL Cup.[1][4] Mews was selected 7th overall in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection Draft.[3][4] During his first season in the OHL, Mews scored 12 goals with 19 assists.[1]
Personal life
Mews raised money for heart disease research in 2023.[5] Mews committed $11 to research of Heart disease for every assist he totaled during the 2023–24 season, alongside matching from his family and agent.[5]
