Ikechukwu Lekwachi Emetu (born 24 March 1985) is a Nigerian engineer and politician, who has served as deputy governor of Abia State since 29 May 2023. Emetu was elected deputy governor in the 2023 Abia State gubernatorial election.[1]
Life and career
Emetu is from Ohafia.[2] He is a petrochemical engineer. According to govornor Alex Otti in a press briefing released by the News Agency of Nigeria, Emetu was picked because of his "youth, his outstanding community development service and humanitarian gestures".[1] He received his certificate of return on 29 March 2023.[3][4]
