Ingrid Gamarra Martins (born 22 August 1996) is a Brazilian professional tennis player. She has career-high WTA rankings of 448 in singles, achieved on 31 January 2022, and 50 in doubles, attained on 9 October 2023.[2]

Martins graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2019, majoring in integrated information technology. As part of the Gamecocks, she won the 2019 Southeastern Conference tournament, with MVP and Player of the Year honors, ending her college tennis career ranked fourth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings.[3]

Career

2015: WTA debut in doubles

Martins made her main-draw debut on the WTA Tour at the 2015 Rio Open, in the doubles event, partnering Carolina Alves.

2022: Top 100 debut in doubles

She first entered the world top 100 in doubles in December 2022.[4]

2023: First WTA title and debuts in majors, WTA 1000 and top 50

She won her first WTA Tour-level trophy at the WTA 250 doubles final in Bad Homburg on grass courts with Belarusian Lidziya Marozava. She entered the world top 60 at world No. 58 in doubles for the first time on 3 July 2023.[5]

She made her Grand Slam debut at the 2023 French Open with Belarusian Irina Shymanovich.

She made her WTA 1000 debut at the 2023 National Bank Open, also playing with Morozava.

She reached the semifinals with compatriot Luisa Stefani at the WTA 1000 China Open, defeating Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula. With this, she entered the world top 50 in doubles for the first time.
