Investopia is a UAE-based platform that facilitates connections within the global investment community.[1][2][3] It connects investors and businesses with the UAE's economic landscape.[4][5]
The platform was launched in 2021 by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, the UAE's Minister of Economy.[4]
Investopia's first major event was held during Expo 2020, with attendees from forty-five countries. Following this, Investopia participated in the Global Talks series in various international cities including New York, Geneva, New Delhi, Mumbai, Milan, Cairo, Rabat, and Havana.[4][6]
The platform annually hosts events where topics such as emerging markets, artificial intelligence (AI), and biotechnology are discussed by investors, government officials, thought leaders, and entrepreneurs.[7][8]
Annual summits
Inaugurated by the UAE Vice President and PM, Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the first Investopia summit – also known as the Emirates Investment Summit – was held on 28 March 2022.[4][8][9]
The second annual conference was held in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, in March 2023.[10][11][12]
Investopia held its first satellite event in Europe on 19 May 2023 in Milan, Italy with the aim of strengthening economic and investments cooperation between the UAE and Europe.[13][14][15]
In December 2022, Investopia, in partnership with the World Corporate Summit (WCS), hosted a special event within the context of the FIFA World Cup 2022.[16][17]
