Jaylen Davon Harrell (born May 1, 2002) is an American football defensive end for the Michigan Wolverines.
High school career
Harrell attended Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa, Florida.[1] During his high school career he had 317 tackles and 10 sacks. Harrell committed to the University of Michigan to play college football.[2][3]
College career
Harrell appeared in four games and had four tackles as a true freshman at Michigan in 2020. As a sophomore in 2021, he started three of 14 games at linebacker, recording 15 tackles. As a junior in 2022, he started 12 of 13 games, finishing the season with 30 tackles and 3.5 sacks. Harrell returned to Michigan as a starter his senior year in 2023.[4][5]
Personal life
His father, James Harrell, played in the NFL.[6][7]
