Jim Patterson is an American screenwriter and producer.[1][2] He is the co-creator of the American comedy-drama television series The Ranch, which he created with Don Reo.[3] He has been nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards in the category Outstanding Comedy Series for his work on the television program Two and a Half Men.[4]

In 2023 Patterson wrote a letter to the court seeking leniency for Danny Masterson after Masterson was convicted of raping two women.
