John Finlay (16 February 1919 – 5 March 1985) was an English professional footballer who played as an inside forward for Sunderland A.F.C. and Grimsby Town F.C.. Finlay made his debut for Sunderland on 11 September 1946 as a substitute for Sunderland on their 4th match of the season in Division 1 against Charlton Athletic.
Finlay retired from professional football in November 1946.[1]
