Having qualified for the Diamond League Final in Zürich, she attended to compete in the 1500m and earned a bronze medal there as well.[6]

"And after all that Norris had gone through in the five years since she graduated Tenafly High School as one of the top distance runners in the nation – the injuries, the transfer from North Carolina to Georgetown, the occasional loss of confidence – it was all forgotten as she began the final 400 meters of her college career.... Norris was a two-time high school All-American at Tenafly, winning the State Meet of Champions at 1,600 meters as a junior in a Bergen County and state meet record of 4:41.61, which still stands."
