Joshua Laqeretabua (born 26 September 2005) is a Fijian professional footballer who plays for Charlton Athletic. He represented the Fiji national under-20 football team at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.[1]
Career
Laqeretabua joined Charlton at under-9 level. He was part of the Charlton under-18 team that won the Professional Development League 2 (South) title in 2023. He signed a two-year professional contract with the club in July 2023.[2]
He made his senior debut for Charlton in the EFL Cup against Crawley Town in September 2023. [3]
International career
Laqeretabua is eligible to play for Fiji through both parents.[4] In February 2023 he was called up to the Fiji national under-20 football team ahead of the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.[5] In May 2023, he was confirmed in the World Cup squad in Argentina.[6]
