Keith Cartwright was an American politician who served in the Oklahoma House of Representatives between 1946 and 1948 and the Oklahoma Senate between 1948 and 1960. He was the Democratic Party's nominee for Governor of Oklahoma in 1966.

Biography

Keith Cartwright was born on November 27, 1911 in Wapanucka, Oklahoma to Jackson Robert Cartwright. He attended Southeastern State College. He had two brothers also active in Oklahoma politics: Wilburn Cartwright and Buck Cartwright.[1] He served in the Oklahoma House of Representatives between 1946 and 1948 and the Oklahoma Senate between 1948 and 1960. He was the Democratic Party's nominee for Governor of Oklahoma in 1966. He died August 23, 1972.[2] He was married to Dorothy L. Wharton.[3]

Cartwright also served in the United States Marine Corps from June 1943 to January 1946.[4]
