Kelardasht-e Sharqi Rural District (Persian: دهستان کلاردشت شرقی), formerly Kelardasht Rural District (دهستان کلاردشت),[3] is in the Central District of Kelardasht County, Mazandaran province, Iran.[4]
At the 2006 census, its population (as a part of the former Kelardasht District of Chalus County) was 8,460 in 2,398 households..[5]
At the National Census of 2011, its population was 3,083 inhabitants in 978 households,[6] by which time the rural district had been renamed Kelardasht-e Sharqi Rural District and remained with the newly established Kelardasht-e Gharbi Rural District as parts of Kelardasht District.[7] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 3,746 in 1,282 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Kelardasht County.[4] The largest of its 12 villages was Kordi Chal, with 1,566 people.[2]
