Kofinas (Greek: Κόφινας) is a former municipality in the Heraklion regional unit, Crete, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Gortyn, of which it is a municipal unit.[2] The municipal unit has an area of 144.768 km2 (55.895 sq mi).[3] Population 4,508 (2011). The seat of the municipality was in Asimi.
