Kohler Dome (76°2′S 134°17′W / 76.033°S 134.283°W / -76.033; -134.283) is a rounded, snow-covered elevation at 2,680 metres (8,790 ft) that rises slightly above the general level of the extreme eastern part of the Mount Moulton massif in Marie Byrd Land in Antarctica. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from ground surveys and United States Navy aerial photographs between 1959 and 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the formation in 1970 after Robert E. Kohler of the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey, a geomagnetist and seismologist at Byrd Station in Antarctica.[1]
