Kenimekh district is a district of Navoiy Region in Uzbekistan. The capital lies at the town Kenimekh.[1] It has an area of 9,250 km2 (3,570 sq mi)[2] and its population is 36,200 (2021 est.).[3] The district consists of 5 urban-type settlements (Kenimekh, Balaqaraq, Mamiqchi, Shoʻrtepa, Zafarobod) and 7 rural communities.[1] Until 2018, when it became part of Kenimekh district, the town Zafarobod was part of the Gʻijduvon District (Bukhara Region).[4][5]
