Career

DSDS

Hering was eliminated in the top 6 of Deutschland sucht den Superstar.[1][2] He suffered verbal abuse and death threats during his participation during season 9 due to his homosexuality.[1] People were writing stuff like "You are sooo gay to .."; "I'll cut your balls"; "Get out of DSDS, if you value your life" and "I stab you up".[1][4] Broadcaster RTL filed charges against unknown persons because of the threats.[4]
