Kshanbhar Vishraanti is a Marathi film was released on 9 April 2010. The movie has been produced by Sandeep S. Shinde along with Maulik Bhatt, and directed by Sachit Patil. It starred Sachit Patil, Siddharth Jadhav, Bharat Jadhav, Sonalee Kulkarni in lead roles.[1]
It is loosely based on Bollywood film Dil Chahta Hai.[2]
Plot
Ritwik (Sachit Patil), comes back from the US after losing his job amid the IT sector recession. He gathers his old friends Vishnu (Siddharth Jadhav), Abhijeet (Hemant Dhome), and Rahul (Maulik Bhatt) for a reunion trip to Alibag. Ritwik plans to sell his bungalow there, adding a layer of significance to their getaway.
Appa (Bharat Jadhav) who lives with his sister Jiji (Shubhangi Gokhale) has transformed the bungalow into a hotel for tourists in "Kshanbhar Vishranti." When Ritwik (Sachit Patil) visits, Appa feels sorry for the changes but Ritwik graciously forgives him. However, Appa is saddened to learn that the bungalow is being sold to a wealthy businessman who plans to turn it into a fancy place. The story also involves a romantic subplot among the four friends, who pursue relationships with the bungalow's occupants: Neha; Appa’s niece (Manava Naik), a micro-biology student turned singer (Sonalee Kulkarni), a fashion designer (Pooja Sawant), and an MBBS student (Kadambari Kadam).
The friends and their girlfriends engage in a lot of funny improvised conversations and eventually decide to get married. However, the issue with the bungalow gets resolved when Appa appeals to Ritwik. Ritwik, along with Vishnu and Appa as partners, decides to manage the hotel himself. He rejects the buyer's offer.
