The Kurdish Revolutionary Hezbollah (Kurdish: حیزبوڵڵای شۆڕشگێڕی کوردی) was a splinter group of the Kurdish Hezbollah of Iran and apart of the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq. The Kurdish Revolutionary Hezbollah established 1988 in South Kurdistan under the leadership of Adham Barzani, a cousin of Massoud Barzani.[1][2][3]

The group adopted Shia elements and got supported by Iran both financially and military. The groups goal was to establish an shia Islamic state in Kurdistan. Iran funded many shia institutions and schools all over Iraqi Kurdistan with hope to drive sunni Kurds to abandon their school of thought and accept Shia Islam. The group was dissolved in 2004.[4]
