Alexander John Peterson (14 September 1957 – 31 August 2004) was a New Zealand bobsledder. He competed in the two man and the four man events at the 1988 Winter Olympics.[1] Originally from Christchurch but living in Calgary, he was the driving force behind getting a bobsledding team together for the Olympics. After the competition, he took things easy: "I did nothing except eat, get fat and forget about bobsledding."[2]
