LinuxFX - a Brazilian Linux OS distribution for PCs based on the Ubuntu LTS architecture. The first version of the system was released in January 2007 by Rafael Rachid, and subsequent versions are being developed with the support of the Linux community.[1] The distribution is also being developed in versions for the ARM platform as well as the Raspberry Pi and Asus Tinker.[2][3] Supported languages include English and Portuguese.[4] The WindowsFX version was created to interest Windows 7 or Windows 10 users in Linux-based operating systems.
There are two versions of LinuxFX: free and paid. The paid Windowsfx Founders is a hybrid of the Linux ecosystem, Windows services and Google services.
A number of amenities built into the operating system have been left at the disposal of the LinuxFX user. These include the OnlyOffice office suite, web browsers, Kodi communications and multimedia software, GIMP, VLC, plug-ins and general-purpose codecs, Helloa[2] voice assistant, facial recognition, license plate recognition, and access control through Sentinel's VMS (video management system).[5] With the support of the Wine port, it allows you to run .exe and .msi applications written for Microsoft Windows.[6][7][8] In appearance (B00merang theme[2][9]) and operation (Wine port) it mimics Windows 10.[10][11]
