The Bangladeshi football champions are the winners of the top league in Bangladesh, the Dhaka League from 1948 to 2006 and the Bangladesh Premier League since 2007.
East Bengal & East Pakistan: Dhaka League (1948–1971)
In 1948, the Dhaka League which also went by Dhaka First Division League or Dhaka Senior Division League, was officially recognised and remained the top-tier of East Bengal (1948–1954) and East Pakistan (1955–1948) until the Independence of Bangladesh in 1971. Although the league has been functioning unofficially since 1915, the champions until its official recognition are unrecorded.

The league was renamed to Dhaka Premier Division League in 1993.
B.League (2007–2009)
In 2007, the B.League was introduced as Bangladesh's first professional national football league. It replaced the 1948 established semi–professional Dhaka League/Dhaka Premier Division League (currently the third-tier) as the country's top-tier. In an attempt to decentralise domestic football Bangladesh Football Federation introduced the professional league and gave entry to clubs from Khulna, Chittagong and Sylhet in the first edition. Previously the Dhaka League only allowed clubs from Dhaka to participate in the country's top division.
