Maesobotrya barteri var. sparsiflora is a variety of flowering plant belonging to the family Phyllanthaceae, or by some authors classified in Euphorbiaceae sensu lato, native to Côte d'Ivoire. Its fruits are edible and known as "apotrewa".[1][2]
