Magnus Chrona (born 28 August 2000) is a Swedish professional ice hockey goaltender for the San Jose Barracuda in the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He formerly played for the University of Denver of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
Playing career
Professional
After being drafted in the fifth round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning,[1] he was traded in April 2021 to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for Fredrik Claesson.[2] On April 10, 2023, Chrona signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Sharks.[3] He made his NHL debut with the Sharks on November 4, 2023 against the Pittsburgh Penguins.[4]
