Mayani Mamata (transl. Immortal Affection) is a 1970 Indian Telugu-language drama film, produced by Bhamidipati Bapaiah Panthulu under the Bhavani Pictures banner[2] and directed by Kamalakara Kameswara Rao.[3] It stars N. T. Rama Rao, B. Saroja Devi and Sobhan Babu, with music composed by Aswatthama.[4]
Plot
The film begins with the silver jubilee celebrations of a magazine Vajrayudham. Whereat, its Editor Janakiramaiah felicitates a noble writer, Madhu. Janakiramaiah resides with his children Ravi & Jyothi. Madhu endears Jyothi and decides to espouse her. Besides, Jagannadham is a baleful wrapped up with criminal offenses under the grab of honorable. He is exasperated by Janakiramaiah as he takes a stab to expose his bad play. Hence, he ploys to throw Janakiramaiah into debt which leads to his death. Therein, rectitude Madhu continues the magazine’s legacy in a disguised form of Madhavaiah. Parallelly, Ravi loves Jagannadham's daughter Neela when he wiles to slay Ravi and is declared dead. Listening to it, Neela turns dispirited. Now, Madhu proceeds abroad to the concert when Jagannadham artifices denounce Jyothi’s chastity which makes her quit, and is sheltered in an orphanage. Soon after the return, Madhu publicly attests and clears Jyothi’s taint and moves for her, but in vain. Following, to satisfy the final request of his ailing mother Shanthamma Madhu accepts to knit Neela. Anyhow, Neela denies and attempts suicide, and unbeknownst she is secured by Jyothi as Seeta who befriends her. Presently, Jyothi consoles and attunes her to a nuptial with Madhu by self-sacrificing. Meanwhile, Ravi comes back alive but he is snared by Jagannatham. During the time of splice, Jagannatham kidnaps Jyothi too, and Madhu as Madhavaiah shields the two. They reach the venue where Madhu shoots up himself, unveils Jagannatham’s diabolic shade, and ceases him. Finally, the movie ends with the marriages of Madhu & Jyothi and Ravi & Neela.
