Mien Sondakh (11 December 1917 – 1998) was an Indonesian actress and singer. She was active in the 1940s and 1950s. She was best known for her role as aunt Sudimo in Putri Solo (1953) and as a cruel women in Kasih Sajang (1954). Sondakh was the singer of "Gembala Sapi" which became popular in the early 1950s and was covered by other singers such as Laila Sari and Norma Sanger. She was part of Classical Indonesian Cinema.

Sondakh was born on 11 December 1917 in Manado, Dutch East Indies.[1]
Personal life
Sondakh married Daniel Robot and had two children: Paulina and Jan Robot.[2][3] Paulina became an actress and starred with her in Putri Solo (1953) along with Titien Sumarni.[3] As of 1979, she resided at Gandaria City in Kebayoran Baru.[1] She died in South Jakarta, in 1998 at age 81.[2]
Career
Sondakh started her career as a stage actress by joining Dahlia Opera. She released a song, "Gembala Sapi", in the early 1950s.[1] She made her film debut in Kewadjiban Istri (1953) in a leading role and appeared in films such as Djelita (1954), Kasih Sajang (1954), Karena si Dia (1954), Saidjah Putri Pantai (1955), Mutiara Jang Kembali (1959), and etc.[1] She later left film and returned to singing.[1]
