Mistake Island is an island in Washington County, in the U.S. state of Maine.[1] The island contains little vegetation.[2] Mistake Island has been noted for its unusual place name.[3]
Moose Peak Light stands high atop Mistake Island.[4] The lighthouse is closed to general visitors.[5]
