Art career
In the mid-1990s, Dent-Brocklehurst began work in New York for Larry Gagosian, and then continued to work for him in London after 2000 as the director of the first Gagosian Gallery in London.[2][3] During the 2000s, she worked as an art advisor for Roman Abramovich[4] and also organized sculpture exhibitions at Sudeley Castle during summers.[2][5] In 2010, she was appointed to find gallery space in London for the Pace Gallery.[3]
Dent-Brocklehurst has worked as executive director of Pace London.[6][7][8] In 2019, she was announced as a cofounder of PaceX, with Marc Glimcher,[9] Christy MacLear, and Kathleen Forde.[10][11] In 2020, PaceX became known as Superblue at the direction of funder Laurene Powell Jobs.[8] Suberblue opened in 2020 in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.[12][13] While Dent-Brocklehurst was chief executive, the Superblue London location closed after its first show[14][15][16] and Glimcher and Powell Jobs were later reported to have "stepped back" from the organization by ARTNews in 2022.[17] In September 2023, Dent-Brocklehurst was appointed chief creative officer of Superblue, and Marc Spiegler joined the Superblue board of directors.[18]
