The song reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #14 in the UK in 1959.[1] It reached #3 in Norway.[2] The song was featured on his 1959 album, Ricky Sings Again.[3]

The song is ranked #42 on Billboard magazine's Top 100 songs of 1959.[4]

In 2020, the song was featured in a commercial for Campbell's Chicken Noodle soup.
