Nigel Howard Williams is the current dean of St Asaph.[1]

Williams was born in St Asaph[2] in 1963,[3] and educated at Llysfasi College, the University of Wales Cardiff and St Michael's College, Llandaff. After working as depot manager at a farming supplies company,[4] he was made deacon at Petertide 1995 (24 June)[5] and ordained priest the following Petertide (29 June 1996) both times by Alwyn Rice Jones, Bishop of St Asaph and Archbishop of Wales, at St Asaph Cathedral.[6] He was priest in charge of Llanrwst then vicar of Colwyn Bay. He was also area dean of Rhos from 2004 to 2009. He was installed as Dean of St Asaph on 17 September 2011.[7]
