Noel Aseko Nkili (born 22 November 2005) is a German professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Regionalliga Bayern club Bayern Munich II. He also holds Equatorial Guinean nationality.[2]

Club career

Aseko is a product of the youth academies of Hertha Zehlendorf and Hertha BSC.[3] On 13 July 2022, he transferred to Bayern Munich, where he was initially assigned to their reserves.[4] He debuted with Bayern Munich II in a 3–0 Regionalliga win over Rain am Lech on 24 September 2022.[5]

In December 2023, he was called up to the senior Bayern Munich squad for the first time, featuring on the bench in a Bundesliga match against VfB Stuttgart on 17 December 2023.[6] On 07.01.2024 Aséko gave his professional debut after getting subbed on for Raphael Guerreiro in the 67th minute of the friendly game against FC Basel. In the 70th minute he also scored his first professional goal for Bayern Munich with his first Ball contact of the game.

International career

Born in Germany to Equatorial Guinean parents,[7][8] Aseko is a youth international for Germany, having played up to the Germany U18s.[9]
