Herbert Norman Carter (January 1, 1928[1] – October 16, 1953) was a Canadian football player who played for the Calgary Stampeders. He won the Grey Cup with them in 1948.[2] Playing his junior football in Calgary, Carter was a blacksmith's apprentice.[3] He died in a hunting accident in Calgary in 1953 at the age of 25.[4]
