location of Pakthas among early Indo-Aryan peoples and tribes

Pakthas or Pakhtas was an ancient Vedic Indo-Aryan tribe[1] living in the northern borderlands of South Asia.[2][3] They are considered to be one of the possible ancestors of modern Pakhtun people.[2] They are identified with Pactyans by Herodotus.[4]
