Pekeru is a town [2] in Iragavaram mandal, West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India. As of the 2011 Census of India, it had a population of 4,436 across 1,270 households.[3] It is located west of the Godavari River beside Eletipadu and Ithempudi. Historically, Pekeru's main industry is agriculture, small business, rice mills and educational institutions. It is the largest settlement in the Iragavaram mandal.
