Peter Wade is a British anthropologist who specializes in issues of race and ethnicity in Latin America. Peter Wade is a Professor of Social Anthropology at the University of Manchester. He has written numerous books and articles about the social and historical meanings of race, ethnicity and sexuality in the context of Latin America. His "Race and Ethnicity in Latin America" has been described as an "essential text for students studying the region", and it has been published in a second edition.[1]
