History

Pianeta Design was cofounded in 2010 by Francesco Apicella and Filomena Spisso.[2] The magazine focuses on design elements in Italy, including architecture, engineering, and interior design.[3] The publication also has a platform for readers to engage with the contributions. In March 2020, the site had 1.1 million monthly users, and 3 million monthly page views.[4] It is known for its content on home furnishings and furniture, and provides articles on various industry brands.[2] Content has included both commercial guides and brand specific specials that appear depending on trends in the industry,[5] as well as interviews with people in the design field.[6]
