RBS TV Santa Cruz do Sul's studios are located on Assis Brasil Avenue, in the center of the city, and its transmitter is located in Arroio Grande district.
History
It was founded on September 28, 1988. The channel was the only one to cover the region with local news until the emergence of a repeater for TV Pampa Centro, from Santa Maria, in 2005, starting competition for the local market.
The original name of the regional station was RBS TV Santa Cruz, at the time covering the region of Santa Cruz do Sul, Vale do Rio Pardo. Later, with the inclusion of the region of Lajeado and the opening of a branch in that city, to cover the Vale do Taquari, the name changed to RBS TV Vales do Rio Pardo e Taquari.
In February 2007, the region of Cachoeira do Sul (Vale do Jacuí), traditionally covered by RBS TV Santa Maria, began to be served by RBS TV Santa Cruz do Sul and the channel was renamed RBS TV dos Vales.
