Rabindra Debbarma is an Indian Tiprasa politician from Tripura who is an Executive Member of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council from Simna-Tamakari constituency.[2] He is also the Chief Whip of TIPRA Motha Party in TTAADC.[3]
Political career
Rabindra Debbarma started his political journey as a student leader associated with the Twipra Students' Federation (TSF).
Tripura State Legislature
He contested the 1988 Tripura Legislative Assembly Election from Simna Assembly constituency in which he was defeated by CPIM candidate Abhiram Debbarma.[4] A year later after Abhiram Debbarma died in 1989, he won the bye-election with TUJS ticket.
Debbarma joined the Indigenous Nationalist Party of Twipra after TUJS was splintered into two group the later being IPFT.[5] He served as the Assistant General Secretary of the INPT till it was merged with TIPRA in 2021.[6]
Autonomous District Council
Rabindra Debbarma contested the 2021 TTAADC election as TIPRA Motha candidate and won from the Simna-Tamakari constituency.[7] He was appointed as the Chief Whip of TTAADC. He was swore in as an Executive Member of TTAADC Government on May 18, 2023.[8][9]

While speaking in a workshop on 'Jhum Cultivation' the Chief Whip of TTAADC Rabindra Debbarma said that the district council has written to the state government many times for help in various matters however no positive reply came from there end.
