Rakowice [rakɔˈvit͡sɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Ząbkowice Śląskie, within Ząbkowice Śląskie County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1]
It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) north-east of Ząbkowice Śląskie, and 55 kilometres (34 mi) south of the regional capital Wrocław.
The name of the village is of Polish origin and comes from the word rak, which means "crayfish".[2][3]
