Ramesh Aravind has acted in predominately Kannada films apart from Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Tulu films.
1996-97 was a golden period in Ramesh Aravind's filmography.
His movies Anuraga Sangama, Karpoorada Gombe, Namoora Mandara Hoove, Amruthavarshini, America America, Ulta Palta, O Mallige, Mungarina Minchu, and Thutta Mutta had successfully completed a 100-day run consecutively that year.
He directed the comedy film Rama Shama Bhama and acted in movies like Apthamitra, Pushpaka Vimana (his 100th Kannada film), Shivaji Surathkal, 100 and Shivaji Surathkal 2. He is presently acting in KD.
